Exporting – What it Takes! Are you Ready?
SCORE continues our Workshop Series on Global opportunities and exporting, welcoming Mike Cooney of Enterprise Florida, Inc., the organization responsible for the state’s International Trade Development and Business Development. Mike will talk about exporting and what it takes to sell products and services overseas. He will cover a variety of subjects including determining whether a company is export ready or not. In addition, Mike will discuss the rewards and pitfalls of trading internationally.

- The three things you must have before you export.
- Real-world examples of companies that succeed or failed at exporting.
Enterprise Florida, Inc. (EFI) is a public-private partnership between Florida’s business and government leaders and is the principal economic development organization for Florida. EFI’s mission is to expand and diversify the state’s economy through job creation. In pursuit of its mission, EFI works closely with a statewide network of economic development partners and is funded both by the State of Florida and by private-sector businesses.
Mike is the Director of International Trade Development at Enterprise Florida (Orlando), the statewide economic development organization covering a 10-county region, assisting all companies interested in exporting their products and services globally. Additionally, he is responsible for promoting & assisting the Aviation, Aerospace & Defense sector & recruiting companies to participate in industry-related trade shows in Farnborough, England, Paris, Singapore & Dubai.
