Museum's Dogapalooza moved to Jan. 13

Due to forecast inclement weather, the Ormond Memorial Art Museum's Fourth annual Dogapalooza has been rescheduled for Saturday, Jan. 13.   The festive celebration of the human-animal bond is set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the museum, 78 E. Granada Blvd.   Sponsored by Florida Hospital HospiceCare, the event brings frolicking pets to an outdoor play date featuring music, activities such as a photo booth and a canine costume contest, and food vendors.  Volunteers will be on hand for brief dog-sitting respite.
Entertainment will be provided by Ian Hood, guitarist and vocalist in the Florida funk band The Psychedelic Monks.
Media sponsors for the event are WNDB, 99.5 WLOV, WVYB 103.3 The Vibe and WKRO 93.1 FM Coast Country.   Frame of Mind will be cosponsoring the event and the interactive dog project.
All of the net proceeds benefit the Halifax Humane Society and Great Dawg Rescue.  The pet food drive will benefit Sophie’s Circle Dog Rescue.
Admission is $2 per two-legged guests.  All dogs must be on leashes.
