News with Claire Metz and Maureen McCann

Claire Metz worked in Central Florida television for over 40 years until her retirement in October 2023. For most of those years, she was with WESH 2 News. Claire was a street reporter and later, an anchor, interviewing thousands of people and bringing details of important events to the community, including hurricane coverage. 

She has won numerous awards in her journalism career, including an Emmy. 


Maureen McCann is a meteorologist with Spectrum News 13, where she has been since 2013. She is a graduate of Cornell University with a BS  in Atmospheric Science. She is a storm chaser as well, where her work with Tim Samaras' TWISTEX research team resulted in an Emmy award winning special. 

Maureen also holds a masters degree in Emergency and Crisis Management from UCF and a graduate certificate in Geographic Information Systems.
